Welcome to That One Blasian

So. I started a blog. Now what?

I wanted to use my first post to quickly introduce my blog and its content. Before I do so, let me tell you a little about myself.

My name is Alisa, and I am 16 years old. I currently live in Clarksville, Tennessee with my father, older sister, and two dogs. My phone is dead silent throughout the day without a text from a friend asking to hang out or a DM from a cute boy at school. My social life is pitiful and pathetic; it’s time to do something about it, but my introversive personality convinces me that it’s okay to be lonely sometimes.

Without many friends to talk to, I constantly turn to notebooks and journals to vent about the day’s irritating events or thoughts about why my dog craves freedom so much (I shower her with love…what’s the problem?!). However, my journals quickly fill with meaningless doodles and random thoughts, and my shelves are stacked with them. It’s time to do something about that instead of my social life.

I thought and thought about what to do. Then it hit me. It’s freaking 2016 – who keeps diaries or journals? Cool people. A cheap and simple way to keep writing out my thoughts is to start a blog – for everyone to see. It may be difficult at first with the thought of complete strangers reading what goes through my head, but hey! It might be fun, right?

So, here I am. A 16 year old with no idea on how to run a blog. Despite my doubts of the survival of “That One Blasian,” I will keep trying to keep my content interesting and fun.

Speaking of content, what in the world am I going to write about? Basically, anything that appears on this blog is deemed important to me. This includes my artwork, dogs (they are animals sent from heaven), music, and my opinions on global happenings. Also, this will be kind of my online diary, except this diary is open to strangers.

I am determined to keep this blog up and running for a long, long time. Maybe I’ll even develop some regular readers, eh?

~Alisa
